I’ve worked with Koru K9 and dog trainer Owen Bower over the last year. Owen is an incredible dog trainer who has been integral to the health, happiness, and overall well-being of my dog’s life. My dog is an American Bully mix. He can be stubborn, fearful, and reactive to other dogs, making walks and social interactions a stressful potentially dangerous experience for both him and me. I had tried various training methods and techniques before, but nothing seemed to work. That’s when I found this exceptional dog trainer, and I couldn’t be more grateful.
Right from the start, Owen exhibited a deep interest in my dog and made every effort to make sure my dog and I had the tools and support we needed. The training sessions have included Board and Train sessions and weekend in-person group classes led by Owen and his partner Ellie. The training is well organized and structured, allowing my dog to progress at his own pace. Owen introduced gradual desensitization and counter-conditioning techniques that proved to be highly effective. His calm and composed demeanor helped create a positive and safe learning environment for my dog.
Owen and Koru K9’s guidance and ongoing support outside of the training sessions were invaluable in ensuring consistent progress and the bond between my dog and I is even stronger. I’ve seen a significant decrease in my dog’s reactivity and an increase in his confidence.
